How does it work?
Your applications are showcased on the company web site (www.rockyourphone.com) where customers will be able to explore the catalog of available applications. They will then be able to register an account and download a thick client application to their computer to manage the applications they choose to trial and/or purchase. The thick client will walk the user through a few short steps to “Rock” (soft unlock) their phone. Once they are “Rocking” they will be able to trial/purchase applications through the thick client or using the Rock.app directly from their phone.

Developer Site
Once you’re signed up with us – you’ll quickly be on your way to selling your App. If your application is ready for distribution, you’ll sign in to update your profile with your application information. We will then send you licensing code to add to your code. Once the licensing is enabled, you’ll upload the application (compiled with licensing code) through our developer portal.
After a validation/review period to ensure the application is “ready” for distribution, we’ll contact you with final details. Your application will then appear in the catalog and be available for purchase. We handle the licensing, payment, and distribution for you. You retain 70% of the revenue from your application. All applications will have a 10 day trial period. At any time during the trial period the user can choose to purchase the application. If the trial expires the application will no longer function on their phone until they choose to purchase.

There is also an opportunity to be a gold partner – allowing you to retain 75% percent of the revenues.

Are there any rules for Apps?
We do have a few App rules…
- While Apple has chosen to not allow apps in the background, we simply want to ensure that apps that do run in the background (i.e. Instant Messaging Client, Radio, etc…) use minimal system resources while in background mode. If we feel that your app can use some tweaking, we’ll contact you with a developer buddy to see if we can tune your app first. Our goal here is to ensure an excellent user experience with your product, and a happy customer.
- System modifications must be stable. We want to ensure a good user experience, so we’ll sign up to be one of your testers. We will hold off on publishing apps until we can ensure your app is “rocking”. (Again, we’re looking for optimized code with minimal CPU/Battery/Memory use)
- No malware, spyware, viruses etc…

After that we have a simple process for you to transfer your apps and we will integrate them for display in our catalog.
